Soo Everyone seems to be throwing out the ‘ high protein’ term! Its becoming pretty fashionable now to eat things that are high in protein!
But first what actually is Protein??
Protein is in every cell of the body and is made of long chains of amino acids (Thoese BCAAS your PT told you to buy and add to your water). These amino acids are essential to your metabolism. They are the building blocks of bones, muscles, skin, cartilage, and blood. Your body can make some amino acids on its own, but this is 100% nowhere near enoughwhich is why you need to be consuming it too! If you are not you will be protein deficient and miss out on all the benefits protein has!!!
